Lend a hand

Volunteering with Fine Thyme Theatre is a brilliant way to have fun, build confidence, and be part of something creative and meaningful. Whether you're helping backstage, working front of house, or supporting rehearsals, you'll gain valuable skills while making new friends and contributing to your community.

It's also a great way for young people to meet their community service hours for programmes like the Duke of Edinburgh or William Pike Challenge. Get involved and enjoy the buzz of bringing a show to life!

"There’s something special about being behind the scenes with such a passionate, lively cast and crew. My favourite moment? Opening night — that mix of nerves, energy, and excitement. Seeing it all come together is absolutely electric.” Erin O’Callaghan

"Theatre has helped me conquer fears and connect with our community in a different way. Honestly, I tell everyone: just try it. You’ll gain far more than you give.” Whetu Taewa

“What keeps me coming back? The people, There’s no ego, no agenda — just pure passion, support, and joy. It’s soul food. The connections I’ve made and the stories we’ve told together are irreplaceable.” Liz Harris
